As much as I like the gun, I wish the barrel was a bit longer (18"- 18.5"). Lothar-Walther is not far from me. I spoke with them about making barrels for the 455. I sent them measurements, pictures, and even offered my barrel for a pattern. They would do it for a minimum order of 50 barrels. I couldn't afford that. L-W's Sako Finnfire barrels at $225 are a bargain.. Npp dosing

They ranged from .21-.37 at 50 yds. He said it was a cold day and there was some wind, yet he achieved these groups. Measure the depth on the receiver face to the bolt face.. It measured 1.237" .. subtracted the .043" for recommanded headspace, which equals 1.194".. the barrel shank is 1.2" .. which means I need a shim of .006".. So I had a lilja shim kit and started playing with it. Turns out that the headspace is perfect from bartlein. So its wearing the .005 shim from lilja.
