It consists of a rectangular loop course of 1.5 km, 3 km, and 4.5 km open water swimming races in 3 categories (Youth ages 11 - 18, Open for anyone, and Masters over the age of 45).. Wetsuits are allowed at this event if water is less than 84ºF.Tempe Town Lake's algae bloom keeps paddleboarders out of the water.
