I'm not sure if it's even possible to defeat him solo with other characters unless you have ground-breaking gear that most people probably hacked into the game.It's not hard to solo the Dragons as Axton, double turrets with shield, magic missile, bee shield, flaker, ahab, DPUH, Grog nozzle and an Explosive relic.
